SLTS Research Technician

We are working with a top Akkodis client that is looking to add skilled Automotive Technician to their team to provide support and conduct labor time studies for OEM dealerships. We are seeking someone with some electrical diagnostic experience and can read and write electrical diagrams along with bumper to bumper repair experience.

This is a long-term contract role. This role partially remote/partially on-site based out of their facility in Allen Park, Michigan. Compensation will depend on experience but we are targeting somewhere in the range of $25.00 - $33.00 per hour W2. Job Responsibilities for the Automotive Technician role:

• Consults with various client contacts (external) and subject matter experts (internal and external) to gather product specific information.

• High level of proficiency in developing wiring, diagnostic and technical writing projects in multiple authoring environments based on the level of equity assigned.

• Participates in meetings with clients and co-workers.

• Develops technical information using client supplied resources, such subject matter experts, product teardowns and engineering schematics.

Job Qualifications for the Automotive Technician role:

• State or ASE certifications preferred.

• Knowledge of and ability to describe electronic and electrical fundamentals.

• Knowledge of and ability to describe mechanical procedures.

• Knowledge of and ability to describe flat rate labor time methods and processes.

• Knowledge of and ability to describe modern automotive systems.

• Knowledge of modern light truck diesel applications preferred.

• Knowledge of automotive hybrid powertrains preferred.

• Knowledge of PC based software and ability to type and work with MS Excel
