Electrification Engineer

Location: Onsite (no remote option)
Pay Range: $60–$72 per hour

Overview:
The Project Engineer – Electrification will play a key role in developing battery-electric vehicle (BEV) powertrain and high-voltage systems for next-generation delivery vehicles. This position focuses on design integration, system validation, and control system calibration to support electrification initiatives across multiple programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop powertrain and high-voltage system requirements and validation plans for BEV systems, including propulsion, battery systems, harnesses, distribution, auxiliary systems, and thermal management.
• Lead controls system integration for electric powertrain components such as the drive unit, HV battery, and vehicle control module.
• Define and manage BEV controls system features while collaborating with hardware, software, architecture, and safety teams.
• Create detailed control interfaces, communication topologies, and electrical architecture for vehicle integration.
• Develop and support controls system test plans and system-level verification for electric vehicles.
• Coordinate cross-functional development efforts, track progress, and manage issue resolution.
• Participate in design reviews, integration discussions, and validation activities to ensure robust technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive control systems or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience working with electric vehicle or electrified propulsion systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Embedded Systems.
• Proven expertise in BEV powertrain systems and high-voltage lithium-ion batteries.
• Experience with embedded systems design, CAN communication networks, and real-time control systems.
• Skilled in control and calibration tools for automotive systems.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
