Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Muskegon, MI

Pay: $18-23/hr

Schedule: 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality precision parts that meet engineering and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
• Install tooling, set tool offsets, and load materials
• Edit CNC programs at the machine using G-code as needed
• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections
• Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues such as tool wear or dimensional variance
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and lean manufacturing standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• Previous CNC machining experience required
• Experience with CNC milling and/or turning machines
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [weight] pounds

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-axis machines
• CNC programming experience (Mastercam or similar) a plus
• Knowledge of ISO or AS9100 quality standards
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
