Psychiatric RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: Evening shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (option for 32 hours/week)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1980-$2120
• Patient Ratios: Day RN ratio 1:7; Night RN ratio 1:11, with additional assistive staff
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Psychiatric Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license – Michigan or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in psychiatric nursing, mental health nursing, or behavioral health
• Experience with pediatric, adult, and geriatric psychiatric populations preferred
• Proficiency with Epic or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication, clinical assessment, and teamwork skills

Psychiatric RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to psychiatric and mental health patients of all ages
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and care interventions using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer psychiatric medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide patient and family education, support, and crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment for all patients
