Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes for precision part manufacturing.
• Load raw material bar stock into machine feeders and ensure proper setup.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Make necessary offset adjustments to maintain part specifications and tolerances.
• Conduct routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and fluid level checks.
• Troubleshoot basic machine alarms and operational issues to minimize downtime.
• Document production output, scrap rates, and quality control data.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Ability to perform tool offsets, changeovers, and basic machine troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for CNC machine operation.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality control and meticulous attention to detail in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators).
• Basic CAD/CAM software knowledge for program review or minor edits.
• Proficiency in performing preventative maintenance on CNC machinery.
• Experience with other CNC machine types (e.g., mills, grinders) or multi-spindle machines.
• Participation in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
