Travel Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Arrange travel for business and vacation customers
- Deliver outstanding service to our customers
- Research destination, culinary, and activity recommendations to fit clients wants and needs
- Determine customers' needs and preferences, such as schedules and costs
- Plan and arrange tour packages, excursions and day trips
- Correspond with suppliers to coordinate curated travel arrangements
- Calculate total travel costs and provide to the client
- Book reservations for travel, hotel, rental cars, and special events such as tours and excursions, theme park and concert tickets.
- Tell clients about what their trip will be like, including giving details on required documents, such as passports or visas
- Give advice about local weather conditions, customs and attractions
- Make alternative booking arrangements if changes arise before or during the trip
- Monitor restrictions on travel that come and go and keep clients abreast of changes
- Effectively communicate with clients pre/post travel
- Be available to assist clients throughout their trips Qualifications:
- High integrity and solid work ethic
- Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- A passion to travel
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Self-driven in an autonomous, remote environment Requirements:
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must be authorized to work within the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be fluent in English
- Required to attend an initial webinar to get started
- Complete ongoing training to earn and maintain certifications to book travel
- Attend ongoing webinars with vendors and suppliers to become specialized with specific destinations
- A dedicated home work environment, including the following:
- Computer/laptop recommended but not required
- Cell phone
