Position Description:

As the Program Director you will be responsible for overall cost, schedule and performance. This role requires a strong leader with experience in program governance, change management, and stakeholder engagement. You will oversee a team of program managers and cross functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals while driving accountability across departments.

What Will You Do - Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of Stryker, Air Defense and Robotics programs, ensuring that they are delivered on-time, within scope, to contract performance requirements and under budget
  • Capture new business in order to increase backlog of the overall portfolio
  • Engage and maintain customer relationships to facilitate open and honest communications
  • Drive planning processes and collaborate with Leadership to align goals with business objectives
  • Collaborate with the Process Center Leadership and other supporting organizations, to meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Establish and maintain program governance frameworks, performance metrics, and reporting mechanisms
  • Manage and mentor a team of program managers and cross functional teams to foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Facilitate communication across the business to identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans, timelines, and resource forecasts
  • Serve as the escalation point for program related issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Lead change management efforts to support successful adoption of new initiatives
  • Monitor and report on program health and portfolio status to the Customer, Leadership and Stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven work experience in the program/project management discipline
  • 10 + years of experience in leading a team to achieve their goals
  • Ability to work in a matrix organizational construct
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to think strategically while managing tactical execution
  • PMP or similar designation preferred
  • Ability to produce briefings to convey important concepts and ideas
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
  • Ability to travel and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
