HR Generalist
Position Overview
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the daily functions of the Human Resources department, with a strong focus on employee relations, HR operations, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and recruiting support. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and align with company policies and business objectives.
Pay/Compensation
$55,000 - $70,000 Annually
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Hiring Support
- Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and timelines
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Assist in maintaining applicant tracking systems and recruiting metrics
- Onboarding & HR Operations
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes for new hires
- Ensure a positive new employee experience
- Partner with managers to ensure smooth integration into teams
- Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative processes
- Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Assist with conflict resolution and workplace investigations as needed
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Assist with policy development and updates
- Benefits & Compensation
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment
- Support payroll coordination and compensation tracking
- Respond to employee benefit inquiries
- Performance Management
- Support performance review processes and documentation
- Assist managers with employee development plans
- Track and report on performance metrics
- Training & Development
- Coordinate training programs and professional development initiatives
- Support leadership development efforts
- Maintain training records and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of HR experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and employment laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office preferred
