Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot precision measurement equipment and gauges.
• Perform dimensional inspections of manufactured components using various metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, micrometers).
• Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for automated part inspection and data collection.
• Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure traceability to national/international standards.
• Assist in the development and validation of new measurement processes, fixtures, and inspection methods.
• Provide technical support and training on metrology principles and equipment to production staff.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision measurement equipment.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical specifications.
• Experience with metrology software for data collection, analysis, and generating comprehensive measurement reports.
• Familiarity with calibration processes and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025).

Bonus Qualifications

• CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• GD&T Professional Certification (e.g., ASME GDTP).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and software.
• Lean/Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced metrology software (e.g., PolyWorks, GOM Inspect).
