DESCRIPTION
The Digital Media & Communications Coordinator will be responsible for managing our online digital
presence, including social media and the OCS website. This role will collaborate with various
departments to facilitate effective and timely communication with our constituencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets
● Manage, create, and publish original, high-quality content for email & social media campaigns
● Administer all company digital media accounts ensuring up-to-date content
● Coordinate with internal faculty and staff to ensure content is informative and appealing
● Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
● Coordinate with staff and departments as needed to maintain a cohesive social media strategy
● Stay up to date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
● Regularly review and update website content
● Solicit updated website information from various OCS staff and departments
● Coordinate with OCS staff and departments to collect information for the weekly Campus
Connection Newsletter.
● Manage, create, and publish the weekly Campus Connection Newsletter
● Solicit stories from OCS staff, students, parents, and alumni to populate stories section of
website and share on social media
● Coordinate with OCS staff and departments to send timely and accurate information by email
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● Excellent writing skills for all digital media platforms including web and social media.
● Experience with social media management platforms including FaceBook, Instagram,
Linkedin, and YouTube
● Proficient in using digital media software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,
Lightroom) or equivalent digital media editing tools, WordPress, MailChimp, Canva, photo
storing & social media scheduling software, etc.
● Ability to organize tasks, work independently and meet deadlines.
● Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects at once
● Ability to coordinate projects across multiple departments
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
● 1-3 years’ experience with social media marketing or content development.
