We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to join our Operations Team on 2nd shift . Position Summary:
This position is ultimately responsible for warehouse functions and employees to provide a seamless order process to our external customers. This Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating the work activities and resources necessary for the warehouses in accordance with cost, delivery, and quantity specifications. Responsible for leading, training, and mentoring all departmental team members, ensuring that discipline and procedures are being followed in a timely and constructive manner.

This position is onsite 5 days a week, generally 3pm-11:30pm, with the occasional Saturdays when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years of responsible distribution operations experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 5 years of distribution center operations experience in a management role
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but is not essential
Essential Functions:

Leadership/Supervisory
  • Develop and enforce warehouse guidelines, operational SOPs, and process improvements, ensuring consistent implementation across all shifts and locations in the distribution center.
  • Lead teams in resolving issues affecting shipping, storage, delivery, labeling, handling, and inventory.
  • Manage product storage and organization of the warehouse.
  • Provide linkage between employees, supervisors, and senior management through communications.
  • Review staffing to ensure appropriate coverage is available to support volume and recommend adjustments to ensure optimum levels for production.
  • Coordinate daily tactical planning with supervisors.
  • Manage competencies and behavioral expectations; lead by example, use good judgment.
  • Understand organizational objectives to make decisions that are aligned with company priorities and values.
  • Ensure staff performance issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner; resolve performance problems using appropriate communications, coaching, and counseling techniques.
  • Build, develop, and manage a leadership team capable of carrying out needed distribution strategies and improving employee relations.
  • Supervisory responsibilities which include hiring and terminations decisions, time authorizations, development and presentation of performance appraisals, and professional development and coaching of subordinates.
Budget/Planning
  • Oversee departmental financial performance; recommend cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of performance reports and records including daily/weekly/monthly workforce forecasting to meet budgetary/volume/customer needs.
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly performance measurements to executive management.
  • Establish general and job specific performance standards.
  • Lead improvement initiatives in safety, quality, cost, waste reduction, delivery, and employee relations.
Safety
  • Monitor safety programs for compliance
  • Promptly investigate accidents and near-misses, reporting to the Notions Safety official in a timely manner.
  • Monitor that warehouse employees are compliant with all Company policies.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and team building skills.
  • Must have ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office and experience with Tableau.
  • Good project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently, with attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated to upgrade and provide continual improvement of assigned areas.
  • Ability to establish priorities, direct others, work independently, and execute company objectives with limited supervision.
  • Ability to problem solve recurring and non-recurring problems.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Takes initiative; has a high level of ownership and accountability for results of self and others.
  • Adaptable and flexible to change.
  • Demonstrated effective delegation and follow up to ensure accountability.

The associate is frequently required to sit/stand/walk and grip/stoop/bend/twist on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to an office environment and/or distribution setting and is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; temperatures may vary within the distribution center. The noise level in the work environment varies; office setting may be low to moderate; distribution center setting may be moderate to high. The associate must be willing to work extended hours when needed, including weekends.
