Packaging Associate – Wixom, MI 48393

Job Type: Full-time, first shift 5:45 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Heavy Industrial Packaging – 1st Shift (Wixom, MI)

The Job:

We aren’t looking for "widget packers" or assembly line workers. We are an award-winning metal service center in Wixom, and we handle heavy coil metal. This is a physically demanding role where you’ll be building custom skids, banding metal coils, and using computer software to tag and weigh inventory. This is an active, industrial role. Once you’re fully trained on our equipment and software, the rhythm is manageable, but it requires someone who can stay focused while handling heavy-duty materials..

The Pay & Perks:

Starting Pay: $18.00/hr

Requirements :

• Work History: You must have at least one year of manufacturing experience and a track record of staying at your jobs.
• Reliability: You need your own reliable way to get to Wixom every day and the ability to pass a drug screen.
• The Heavy Lifting: We’re looking for someone who enjoys a physically engaged role. You’ll be on your feet and active throughout the shift. You need to be comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Skills: You should know your way around a forklift and an overhead crane. You’ll be working with substantial materials. Once you’re trained on the equipment, the process is straightforward, but it requires a steady hand and a safety-first mindset.
• Detail: You’ll need to read work instructions, handle basic math (fractions/decimals), and use a computer to log inventory.
