Job Summary: Lead the sales team at our retail location in order to create exceptional customer service, ensure company sales initiatives are being executed with greatness, and create an excellent partnership with our sales team. A focus on sales growth, dealer training, and order management will be key to success in this role.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the retail team to drive a strong and positive working environment with clear communication and follow-up.
- Train and empower Retail Sales Associates to make business decisions on sales and trade ins.
- Driving sales by providing and teaching excellent customer service, product knowledge, and closing deals.
- Determine and negotiate sales prices and discounts with customers.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to the sales team, ensuring they meet their targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, order new inventory, analyze sales data, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely restocking of trailers.
- Review and make changes to the weekly print advertising.
- Maintain an organized and efficient inventory system, conducting regular stock checks and ensuring accurate records.
- Oversee the process of checking trailers in and out, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling.
- Collaborate with the management team to set up an attractive and effective display of trailers on the lot, maximizing sales potential.
- Development, implement and teach sales strategies.
- Track, maintain, and organize all retail sales to ensure accurate communication to customer. Stay current with supply, demand, and trends based on seasonal changes and the market trend.
- Order pre-sold and stock trailers from multiple sources.
- Lead and model onsite employee training for each product line.
- Maintain strong communication with sales team, service team, and customers.
- Drive sales by casting vision to the retail team, developing sales action plans, and upholding company sales initiatives.
- Ensure that all sales paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner, resolve problems with paperwork as they arise.
- Communicate dealer needs with leadership and be a voice for the retail sales team.
- Drive parts sales and service offerings in our area.
- Train customers to operate and maintain new equipment.
- Responsible for the development of the yearly budget and monthly targets.

- Experience mentoring and coaching sales representatives.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Industrial sales experience, preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in the automotive, heavy equipment, truck, or trailer industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and motivate the sales team.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage inventory, sales processes, and team coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of web content management systems.
- Proactive mindset with a customer-oriented approach, always striving to exceed expectations.
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift in regard to trailer components, and connecting trailers to vehicles to move.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions on retail trailer lots.
