Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
• Source and evaluate new suppliers to meet production requirements.
• Issue purchase orders and manage delivery schedules for production materials.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance for quality, delivery, and cost.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to define material specifications.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities within the supply chain.
• Resolve supply chain issues, including delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice errors.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or buying within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost reduction and supply chain efficiency.

Bonus Qualifications

• Understanding of manufacturing processes or engineering specifications
• Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, CSCP)
• Experience with advanced spend analysis tools or supplier performance management software
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
