About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to build a diverse accounting career? Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc., an industry leader in custom filtration for the aerospace, automotive, and commercial industries, is seeking an AR & General Accountant .

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, you won’t just be "crunching numbers"—you’ll be a key player in our financial health. This role offers broad exposure to all aspects of accounting, from managing the accounts receivable lifecycle to assisting with month-end closing and multi-divisional general ledger maintenance.

What You’ll Do

• Drive the AR Process: Handle the daily posting of cash receipts, manage collections, and resolve invoicing or credit limit issues.
• Support the Big Picture: Assist with month-end and year-end closing, reconcile accounts (emphasis on AR, banking, & Inter-company accounts).
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with shipping and customer service to solve problems and assist our front-office team as needed.
• Special Projects: Assisting with activities related to external financial reporting.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent field) OR 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience: 1 year of GAAP experience is preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word is a must. Experience with ERP systems (like Global Shop) is a major plus!
• Mindset: Someone who is mathematically minded, professional in communication, and thrives in a cross-functional team environment.
