Calibration Technician | Charlotte, MI

Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex calibrations on a wide range of manufacturing equipment and instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate and detailed calibration records and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning measurement and test equipment.
• Develop, review, and update calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure all calibrated equipment complies with internal quality standards, industry regulations, and ISO requirements.
• Manage and track the calibration schedule for all manufacturing assets to ensure timely service.
• Analyze calibration data to identify trends, potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Electronics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience performing calibration and maintenance on various measurement and test equipment.
• Solid understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and metrology concepts.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 17025 or ANSI/NCSL Z540.1.
• Proficiency in using and troubleshooting a wide range of calibration standards and test equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate calibration records and utilize calibration management software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS or dedicated calibration management software.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or similar professional certification.
• Basic understanding of metrology principles and measurement uncertainty.
