Residential Construction Manager Associate
1 Year of Related Experience or Construction Management Degree or Trade School Training
The Associate Construction Manager is responsible for assisting in the new home quality, budget control, schedule conformance, and client experience of each home that is built in their community. The Associate Construction Manager assists in managing the day-to-day construction process in accordance with the Construction philosophies and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
· Provides a uniquely exceptional environment to Trades through daily words, actions, and attitudes that result in value creation
· Ensures that every job is ready for every trade
· Develops and maintains personal organizational systems in combination with the Construction Philosophy
· Communicates with the Production Manager daily and weekly to review key areas of Construction Compass and Field Performance Objectives
· Assists Sr Construction Manager in monitoring all schedules daily
· Helps resolve all client issues immediately and permanently
· Assists Builder in achieving annual Field Performance Objectives on each home built
· Facilitates punch lists and manages completion of Quality Check items in a timely basis
· Maintains acceptable job site cleanliness standards and order at all assigned communities and homes on a daily basis
· Assists Production Manager in managing material orders and deliveries
· Provides daily updates of the schedule of each home
· Demonstrates knowledge of Construction guidelines and philosophies, Basic Field procedures, and Professionalism philosophies and guidelines
· Maintains knowledge of basic Performance Standards and Trade Agreements Achieve Daily duties
· Performs other duties as needed or required
Results/Accountability:
· Assists in building each home according to the Centralized schedule, quality guidelines, and performance standards as measured by Quarterly IGP
· Achieves Field Performance Objectives as set by Manager
· Handles all client concerns immediately and resolves them permanently
· Completes Core Certification within 6 months of joining the team
Qualifications/Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred
· Residential construction management experience preferred
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task
· Must be able to work independently
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required for daily travel
· Ability to walk homes, residential communities, and ungraded lots regularly
· Ability to climb stairs regularly and ladders occasionally
· Ability to crawl in crawl spaces occasionally
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
