Job Title: Contingent Clinic PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Contingent/Per Diem Clinic PACU RN to join our surgical team. This position is ideal for a compassionate and detail-oriented nurse who excels in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a flexible schedule on an as-needed basis for our clinic surgery days. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate patient care throughout the perioperative experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative Prep/Assessment
• IV Starts
• Medication Administration
• Monitor and document the patient's condition, including vital signs and responses to local anesthesia.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
• Post-Operative Care
• OHSS Assessments/Prevention
• Provide clear and thorough discharge instructions to patients and their caregivers.
• Clean and prepare recovery rooms for the next patient
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license in Michigan.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years of recent clinical experience in the Operating Room. Experience in a pre-op or PACU setting is a plus.
• Certifications: BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred or may be required depending on facility protocols.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and integrate quickly into existing teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Schedule and Benefits

• Schedule: This is a contingent (per diem) position for surgery days. A schedule will be determined based on the needs of the surgery schedule. You must be able to commit to working on an as-needed basis, which may include 1-2 weekends a month
