Salary Range: $61,000 - $96,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines using CAM software.
• Analyze engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to determine optimal machining processes and tool paths.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, workholding devices, and establish cutting speeds and feed rates.
• Simulate and verify CNC programs to detect potential collisions, optimize cycle times, and ensure part accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and modify existing programs to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality control to ensure successful program implementation and part production.
• Document programming processes, setup sheets, and tooling lists for production use and future reference.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC mill programming.
• Knowledge of various tooling, fixturing, and machining processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming or advanced multi-axis machining strategies.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup and operation.
• Knowledge of tooling selection, fixture design, and metrology principles.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in multiple CAD/CAM software platforms.
