Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology Department
• Location: South Bend, Indiana (46601)
• Start Date: September 29, 2025
• End Date: December 29, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 4x10-hour days (07:00 – 17:30); on-call hours 08:00 – 16:30
• Call Requirements: Every 3rd or 4th weekend and 1 day per week; one full week of call during the 7th week
• Holiday Coverage: May be required if assignment overlaps with Thanksgiving
• Scrub Color: Light Blue (provided)
• Charting System: Cerner
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2820 - $2900

Interventional Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of scrub experience in Interventional Radiology (required)
• Experience with neurovascular and cerebral procedures preferred
• Proficiency with GE and Siemens Fluoro rooms and vascular IR procedures (endografts, neurovascular, trauma, body IR)
• Certifications: ARRT (R), BLS, ACLS, Fluoro Permit, and valid Indiana state license (pending accepted if active by start date)
• Experience with Cerner charting system
• Ability to scrub cases and familiarity with wires and thrombectomy devices
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
• Completion of up to 8 hours of pre-start modules required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures, including vascular, neurovascular, trauma, and body IR cases
• Scrub and maintain a sterile field during procedures; assist with equipment setup and operation
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and one full week during the assignment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care in a busy stroke center environment
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and professional conduct standards
• Support trauma and oncology patients; assist with CT procedures, drains, tube checks, and stroke call cases
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census
