Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing actual costs to standard costs.
• Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for cost deviations.
• Manage inventory valuation, ensuring accuracy of cost of goods sold and inventory balances.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, particularly for manufacturing costs.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and process improvements.
• Prepare detailed product profitability analysis and margin reports.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive cost accounting experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and inventory valuation methods (e.g., standard costing, FIFO, LIFO, weighted-average).
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or advanced Excel functions (VBA, Power Query).
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation or actively pursuing.
