Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Operator to efficiently manage and operate our client's machines. The primary role involves overseeing the production process to ensure quality and efficiency in envelope stamping and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Feed the machine with stacks of paper.
• Monitor the flow of paper through the machine.
• Pick up and straighten large stacks of envelopes, then box them.
• Oversee the flow of ink from the stamping machine.
• Box up completed envelopes.
• Conduct quality checks on envelopes with each load to ensure accuracy.
• Document quality checks and record data.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a machine operator or production operator.
• Mechanical inclination and general labor skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure with precision (e.g., 1/8th, 1/16th of an inch). MUST!!
• Experience in packing or operating multiple machines simultaneously.
• Capability to stand, walk, twist, reach overhead, and bend over during the entire shift.
• Attention to detail and quality assurance experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with loading multiple parts or products onto a machine.
• Experience operating two machines at once.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a large, well-lit facility with a warehouse and shipping area. While the space is not climate-controlled, industrial fans maintain a comfortable environment. Earplugs are provided and required due to noise levels.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Van Buren Twp, MI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
