We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift, picking daily orders, receiving containers, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, experience using a scan gun for inventory control, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: 8am-4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Ensure 100% compliance with safety procedures, with a focus on preventing accidents and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Product Integrity: Handle materials and products with care to prevent any damage. Maintain a record of zero product damage incidents.
- Attendance: Arrive promptly for scheduled shifts, ready to work. Demonstrate consistent attendance and reliability.
- Pallet Completion: Ensure 100% completion of pallets with no errors. Maintain accuracy in pallet assembly and stacking according to company standards.
- Order Picking: Efficiently pick daily orders and accurately receive containers. Contribute to maintaining inventory accuracy through precise handling and recording of materials.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Keep work areas and the warehouse clean and organized. Follow sanitation protocols to ensure a hygienic environment for all staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a forklift operator or similar role.
- Strong focus on safety and adherence to safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and bend. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
