Salary Range: $52,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders) to produce precision parts.
• Set up CNC machines, including tooling, work offsets, and program adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating, setting up, and troubleshooting CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and various material properties.
• Commitment to maintaining quality control standards and adherence to shop safety protocols.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Direct G-code programming and optimization skills
