Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.
• Operate various welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) to join metal components according to specifications.
• Inspect finished welds for quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components by cutting, shaping, and positioning materials.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
• Grind, deburr, and finish welded surfaces to achieve desired smoothness and aesthetic quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in common welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Relevant welding certification (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
• Experience welding various materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Physical dexterity, stamina, and ability to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Fabrication experience (cutting, fitting, assembly)
• Forklift and/or overhead crane operation experience
• Proficiency in using quality inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodology
