ABOUT THE ROLEWe're looking for a driven, energetic leader to join us as Assistant General Manager. This is a high-impact, hands-on role at the heart of our operation - you'll own the floor, develop and inspire our team, and play a direct role in shaping the guest experience from the moment someone walks in to the moment they leave raving about it.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the AGM is a trusted partner in running daily operations, leading staff, and holding the bar high for service, hospitality, and culture at Gimme's. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFloor Leadership & Guest Experience
- Own the floor during service - actively present, visible, and setting the tone for hospitality.
- Uphold and model above-and-beyond service standards for every shift and every patron.
- Quickly and confidently address guest concerns, turning challenges into lasting positive impressions.
- Ensure the venue is operating at its best: clean, organized, and running like clockwork.
Staff Development & Training
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train a team that's passionate about hospitality and takes genuine pride in their work.
- Lead ongoing coaching, development, and performance conversations to keep the team sharp and motivated.
- Create a culture of continuous learning - set standards, reinforce expectations, and celebrate wins.
- Partner with the GM to evaluate employee performance and identify growth opportunities.
Operations & Business Management
- Assist in the management of all location operations, including golf programming, F&B service, scheduling, and facilities.
- Monitor and help manage labor costs, operating expenses, and other key financial metrics.
- Ensure all staff follow company policies, health & safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Partner with the GM on scheduling, staffing levels, and day-to-day problem-solving.
- Support local marketing efforts and play a role in building Gimme's presence in the community.
- 3+ years of hospitality or food & beverage management experience, with at least 2 years recently in an AGM, Assistant Manager, or floor leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop service teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong floor presence - you lead by example and your team knows it.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- A passion for hospitality and a genuine commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
- Cool under pressure with the ability to think on your feet and manage competing priorities.
- High energy, positive attitude, and a team-first mindset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays - that's when the magic happens.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move through the space for extended periods.
- Able to obtain required certifications (ServSafe Food Manager, ServSafe Alcohol).
- A love of golf is a plus - but not required. A love of people? Absolutely required.
