For over 20 years, Larrys Service and Towing has been the trusted auto and truck repair shop serving Armada and the surrounding community. We are a busy, well-established shop with a strong customer base and steady workflow. Were looking to add a skilled Heavy Line Technician who can confidently handle major engine and transmission repairs.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced technician who can diagnose, repair, and overhaul engines and transmissions with minimal supervision. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time. Responsibilities:
Major Repairs & Diagnostics
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions (automatic & manual), and driveline systems
- Perform engine replacements, rebuilds, and major component repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical powertrain issues
- Communicate clearly with service advisors
- Document work performed accurately
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace
- Assist or mentor other technicians when needed
Required:
- State of Michigan Automotive Certification
- 3+ years heavy engine/transmission experience
- Strong diagnostic ability
- Valid drivers license
- Must own personal, professional tools
- Diesel experience
