It is the responsibility of the Concrete Pump Operator to optimize the profitability of Jackson Concrete Pumping by performing to the highest level of efficiency in the following task categories: driving concrete pump truck, setting equipment at each job site, directing and controlling concrete output and maintaining machinery; delivering material, tools, and products efficiently, safely, and productively while ensuring proper care and maintenance of his/her assigned vehicle(s) (pump truck, tractors, trailers, and any and all equipment assigned), and effectively functioning in a capacity that ensures prompt, courteous customer service and delivery.

This position reports directly to the Redi Mix Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Delivers Company products as invoiced to specified customers in a timely fashion.
• Displays the ability to readily learn the technical aspects of the job.
• Communicates on the job site with all contractors/homeowners, etc. to successfully complete each assigned work order.
• Ensures that vehicle is properly secured when not in use.
• Maintains good housekeeping procedures to reflect a clean, safe, and neat vehicle.
• Performs a pre-trip inspection on assigned vehicles.
• Is aware of and embraces companys Core Values (Service, Teamwork, Excellence & Professionalism).
• Maintains personal productivity and quality standards.
• Communicates effectively with the Redimix Operations Manager updating them regularly to ensure the highest level of efficiency.
• Remains flexible to restructure schedule as needed.
• Ensures that add-on sales items are properly secured and delivered.
• When necessary, performs collection activities in an accurate and professional manner.
• Helps maintain fleet parking areas in a neat and orderly manner.
• Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties.
• Demonstrates good judgment in investigating problems.
• Respects the confidentiality of company information.
• Maintains cooperative working relationship with RediMix Operations Manager and other members of the Jackson Concrete Pumping team.
• Performs field wash-outs in appropriate areas.
• Performs any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, unusual or special duty his supervisor may assign from time to time.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Able to follow written and verbal direction.
• Acts as a responsible representative of Jackson Concrete Pumping.
• Drives vehicle(s) to and from destinations, adhering to all traffic laws.

• Maintains daily attendance based on specified work schedule.
• Does not abuse or take advantage of time off, always provides proper and advance notice of absence.
• Demonstrates ability to tactfully handle difficult situations and adjust priorities as needed.

• Is aware of and adheres to all DOT drug and alcohol policies and requirements.
• Maintains all licensing requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Includes sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling and use of hands and arms to operate yard and field equipment and lift and carry products up to 100 pounds.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must possess a valid current CDL. Must be able to work under time and budgetary pressures.

WORKING CONDITIONS:This person will work a portion of the time in the yard and office, which can be noisy and dangerous due to the frequent operation of yard equipment and material handling. The outside time will be spent in the open visiting customers at their locations which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, hazardous, noisy and dusty. These locations are visited throughout the year and during all weather conditions.
