Sea Logistics Training Expert

How you create impactThe Sea Logistics Training Expert is responsible for facilitating onboarding and ongoing training programs for new and current employees within a specific area, focusing on operational systems, field competencies, and soft skills. This role emphasizes effective facilitation techniques to ensure engaging and productive learning experiences. Working closely with the National Training Manager and key stakeholders, the Training Expert ensures that all training sessions are aligned with business needs, accurately documented, and impactful.
- Facilitate onboarding, role‑specific, and ad‑hoc training programs for new hires and existing employees, using engaging and effective learning methods.
- Partner with the National Training Manager to plan, schedule, and deliver training sessions aligned with program frameworks and business needs.
- Coordinate training logistics, including materials, technology setup, LMS scheduling, attendance tracking, and record maintenance.
- Encourage participation through discussions, quizzes, group exercises, and interactive activities to assess understanding and engagement.
- Monitor participant progress and engagement, providing follow‑up support to ensure training benchmarks are met.
- Collect and analyze post‑training feedback and metrics to evaluate effectiveness and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate training records and support reporting on completion rates, trends, and overall program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify training gaps and support strategic learning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- 2+ years of training and facilitation experience, with sea freight experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, HR, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to lead and engage groups effectively during training.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including solid PowerPoint and presentation abilities.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple sessions and track progress.
- Flexible and able to adjust training approaches based on learner needs and program changes.
- Comfortable evaluating training effectiveness using feedback and metrics to identify improvements.
