Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will manage various administrative and accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. This role requires someone capable of wearing many hats and thriving in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and file electronic invoices via AP email.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Conduct AP check runs and record ACH payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements, manage filing, and follow up on receipts.
• Send out and follow up on vendor packs, W9s, and Certificates of Insurance (COI).
• Complete applications for credit with new vendors.
• Review vendor lists to ensure all W9s are received and process 1099s annually.
• Answer phones and handle weekly filing of AP documents.
• Sort daily mail.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience with Accounts Payable and Payroll.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, payroll, invoice processing, and cost accounting.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Ability to support the team and take ownership of assigned roles and projects.
• Cost accounting experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.
• Ideally 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Experience with Foundation Accounting Software.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

This is a Permanent position based out of Brighton, MI.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Brighton,MI.
