A manufacturing company in Hudson, MI has a Building Maintenance position available on 2nd shift. This role supports facility upkeep and daily operations. Starting pay is $16/hr.

Building Maintenance Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $16.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Second Shift ( Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm )

• Will train on 1st shift (7:00am-3:00pm) then switch to 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm).
• Transport and dispose of shavings and scrap material as required.
• Operate oil separator and pump oil as needed.
• Place materials at machines to support production.
• Clean and maintain mop buckets and wet room (air compressor).
• Monitor shavings trailers and roll offs.
• Remove pallets, cardboard, and general waste.
• Empty scrap pans, scrap dump hoppers, grinder paper dump hopper, garbage baler, and shavings containers.
• Empty part tubes at all three extractors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the shavings system.
• Spin brass shavings and unload steel deliveries.
• Operate floor scrubber.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Change dunk wash tanks and service the water softener, including adding salt.
• Clean shavings from machines.
• Pick up and launder rags.
• Perform snow removal and facility upkeep, including changing light bulbs.

Eligible for a pay increase every 30 days based on attendance and job performance.

• $0.75 shift premium for 2nd shift.
• $16 to start
• 16.50 (30 days)
• $17.00 (60 days)
• $17.50 (90 Days)

Building Maintenance Qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Experience with a forklift, floor scrubber, and overhead crane.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs repetitively and up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Previous building maintenance experience preferred.
• Slip-resistant safety shoes are required.

• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
