Job Description

D365 (Finance & Operations) – SCM Functional Consultant (Manufacturing, Warehousing & Logistics | Support / AMS) Role Overview Senior D365 Finance & Operations SCM Functional Consultant for a long term support engagement in a regulated Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment. The role focuses on functional support, process stabilization, and continuous improvement across manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics processes typical of a CDMO operating under GxP / GMP regulations, within a global support model.

Location requirement: This role must be based in the United States (US).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 functional support for SCM incidents and recurring issues.

• Perform functional Root Cause Analysis (RCA) related to manufacturing, inventory, and logistics.

• Support manufacturing operations, including:

o Batch based production

o BOM / formula management

o Production orders and execution

• Support warehouse and inventory management, including:

o Raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

o Lot and batch tracking

o Inventory status and physical inventory

• Support logistics and distribution, including inbound, outbound, and inter site transfers.

• Validate Change Requests and minor enhancements from an SCM functional perspective.

• Ensure alignment with GxP / GMP compliance and controlled change processes.

• Maintain functional documentation and contribute to incident reduction year over year (Y2Y).

• Act as a trusted functional advisor for US manufacturing and supply chain users.

Required Experience

• 5+ years supporting D365 F&O SCM in AMS / support roles.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics in regulated environments.

• Experience in pharmaceutical / life sciences manufacturing (batch, lot controlled).

• Familiarity with GxP / GMP processes.

• Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills.

Certifications Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations are highly valued, particularly:

• Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate

• Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Expert

Nice to have :

• Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Apps Solution Architect Expert (MB 700)

• Power Platform exposure (functional or admin)

• Azure fundamentals Engagement

• Long term managed services contract

• Cloud based ERP

• US based role within a global support organization
