General Manager (Cannabis Retail)
GENERAL MANAGER
The General Manager reports to Endo Life Inc's leadership and will assume responsibility for the continued development and implementation of all new and existing retail activities (policies and procedures) as well as the overall day-to-day management of the retail space. These areas include hiring, staff performance management, customer service, retail sales, merchandising, state and local compliance/regulations, and cash and inventory management. The GM will be an individual who has vision, passion, industry knowledge and must be organized and professional with excellent time management and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be effective at developing, inspiring, and guiding their team to carry out the store's mission while also maintaining a high standard of communication with vendors, customers, surrounding communities, and company leadership. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote a culture of teamwork while assuming responsibility of all functions associated with the oversight of the retail location and achieving the store's financial and operational goals
- Ensure the provisioning center's compliance with all relevant statutes, regulations, and directives in all respects, as well as best practices and company policies
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention.
- Ensure consistent and timely execution of routine inspections to maintain accurate inventory and ensure all product is placed on the sales floor in a clean, organized, and timely fashion
- Manage and supervise the activities of the full team and own all decisions regarding hiring, scheduling, performance management, termination, or recognition and advancement of employees
- Utilize reporting tools available on POS systems to motivate employees to push sales and proactively identify underperforming metrics and develop strategies that leverage company programs, tools, and resources to improve and grow the business
- Train staff to ensure a consistent performance and knowledge base of company standard operating procedures, a comprehensive understanding of all products, and best practices for all team members
- Play an active role in the continued development and creation of Standard Operating Procedures to support the growth and accountability of the entire team
- Oversee and provide warm reception for all staff and visitors while directing and coaching staff to ensure excellence in sales & hospitality
- Respond promptly to any customer incidents or complaints to prevent escalation and clearly communicate all incidents to company leadership
- Strive for customer satisfaction in all respects and ensure a customer-friendly environment
- Troubleshoot IT issues as needed
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 21 years or older and be able to pass a background check
- Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of education and experience will be considered
- 3+ Years of General Manager level experience in a high volume retail environment
- 2+ Years' Experience working in a licensed Cannabis dispensary preferred
- 1+ Years of Merchandising experience in a retail environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of retail sales and POS systems required
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a composed and positive attitude in the fast-paced, and at times high-pressure, high-volume retail environment required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work well both alone and with others
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Employee needs to be able to walk, sit, stand, crouch, and reach throughout the day; ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Ability to work early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed is required
Full Time; Salary Exempt. Salary based on experience, successful interview, and growth opportunities
