The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for diverse manufacturing roles, from production to engineering.
• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations and plant safety protocols.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to the manufacturing environment.
• Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and performance improvement plans.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs, including wage scales, shift differentials, and benefits enrollment.
• Identify training needs and coordinate development programs for manufacturing staff to enhance skills and productivity.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA compliance.
• Proven ability in talent acquisition for production, skilled trades, and technical roles.
• Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems relevant to a manufacturing workforce.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety culture development in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience managing HR for a multi-shift or production-line workforce.
• Proven ability to develop and implement technical training or apprenticeship programs.
