(Seasonal) Park Maintenance Worker - Special Events
- Setup/take down of event chairs and tables.
- Remain on site for entirety of special events.
- Special event trash removal.
- Restroom cleaning and maintenance.
- Window washing.
- Floor cleaning.
- Drive 6-passager cart to aid in guest from parking lot to event site.
- Pick up litter using a prod or by hand.
- Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and maintains an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to load, unload and move materials between work locations.
- Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
- Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors, and park visitors.
- May be required to adjust schedule to meet organizational needs, including special events, evenings, weekends & holidays.
- Ability to perform essential duties.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED: Requires the frequent use of hand tools used for raking, digging, pruning, leveling; custodial tools such as brooms, mops, toilet plungers; some landscape equipment; basic construction tools such as hammers, saws, tape measures, carpenter square. Miscellaneous hand and power tools used for turf maintenance, Less use of personal computer, word processing, phone, radio, calculator and copy machine.
