Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead variances.
• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning specific to production operations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and performance dashboards for manufacturing plants and operational management.
• Evaluate capital expenditure requests for new machinery, equipment, and facility upgrades, calculating ROI and payback periods.
• Analyze product line profitability and support pricing strategies by assessing cost structures and market dynamics.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels, valuation, and obsolescence, identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements within production processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and their application in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for data extraction and analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
• Ability to analyze operational data and connect it to financial performance in a manufacturing context.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) in a manufacturing context.
• Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong understanding or hands-on experience with advanced cost accounting principles specific to manufacturing.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
