Recording Secretary
The Charter Township of West Bloomfield is looking for a Recording Secretary. This position is not an employee of the Township. They will provide services as an Independent Contractor (1099).
The Recording Secretary is responsible for recording services and the preparation of full and accurate meeting synopsis and meeting minutes. Candidates must be available to attend evening board and commission meetings approximately two (2) times a month as needed.
Minimum qualifications include knowledge of Microsoft Word, strong typing skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Experience with public meetings and familiarity with the requirements of the Open Meetings Act preferred.
The independent contractor will be paid a lump sum rate of $250.00 for attendance and transcription for meetings lasting up to four (4) hours and an additional $50.00 per hour for meetings lasting longer than four (4) hours.
