Hillard Electric is an electrical contractor serving commercial and industrial customers in the Grand Rapids area since 2005. In 2023, Hillard partnered with Crete United to build a leading commercial/industrial electrical, Communications and Automation contracting company in Michigan. Crete United is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services in the United States. Partnering with Crete United, Hillard is positioning for significant growth and is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join or growing team!

Electrical Estimator

Type: Full time permanent employment

Location: Cedar Springs, MI

Pay: DOE + Excellent benefits package, Employer paid Health, Dental, Vision!

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
• Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities for bidding purposes
• Learn and use ACCUBID/TRIMBLE estimating software for creating cost estimates
• Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates
• Utilize CRM (contact relationship software) to track and manage estimates
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes, such as NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Collaborate with Preconstruction team to develop comprehensive project proposals

Requirements:

• Previous experience in electrical construction or service industry or similar degree.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
• Willingness to learn estimating software and tools.
• Use of Microsoft Office programs and software (Word, Excel, Office .. etc.)
• Understanding of computer file structures, moving files, folders etc.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications is REQUIRED.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
