Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and quality requirements.
• Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for various part geometries.
• Conduct first-article inspections, correlation studies, and validate CMM programs for accuracy.
• Generate comprehensive inspection reports, analyze measurement data, and identify non-conformances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve CMM program issues, measurement discrepancies, and equipment errors.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure measurement needs are met.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Proven experience in developing, validating, and optimizing CMM inspection programs.
• Knowledge of various measurement techniques and metrology best practices.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for model review and manipulation
• Experience with other metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or optical comparators
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software for data analysis
• Ability to design or procure custom CMM fixtures and workholding solutions
