Schedule: Full-time 6:30am-2:30pm

We are currently seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team and take charge of a classroom of 10 preschool children ages 3–4.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with state licensing and child development standards.
• Establish and maintain daily routines and structure to support a positive learning environment.
• Provide effective classroom management, leading your own classroom independently with director support as needed.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care at all times.
• Maintain communication with parents and families regarding child progress, classroom updates, and center policies.
• Model and promote respectful, positive interactions with children, families, and staff.
• Follow Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules for Lead Teachers, including:
• Planning, implementing, and evaluating daily activities that meet children’s developmental needs.
• Supervising children at all times.
• Maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios.
• Ensuring the classroom meets health, safety, and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in preschool.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience (especially in preschool or early childhood education).
• Strong classroom management skills required.
• Dependable, professional, and reliable.
• Passionate about early childhood development.
