Position Title: School Social Worker (FMLA Coverage)
Grade Level: Junior HS - 8th-9th grade
Position Details:
AnthroMed Education is hiring a full-time School Social Worker to provide FMLA coverage at a Junior High in the Clarkston area. This position will run from mid-March 2025 through the end of the school year. The Social Worker you will be covering for has prepared the caseload and will ensure all IEPs and support plans are completed before their leave, ensuring a smooth transition for the incoming professional.
This role offers the possibility of re-signing in the spring for the 2025-2026 school year, with opportunities to continue in the district and with AnthroMed for next year!
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
Compensation: Hourly pay $45-$60/hr. based on experience
Location: Clarkston, MI
School Social Worker Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Valid MI School Social Work (SSW-310) license through MDE.
- Prior school-based experience preferred.
- Experience with IEPs and 504 Plans is a plus.
- Provide direct social work services to students in alignment with their IEPs and 504 Plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Develop and implement interventions to support students' social and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create student support plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings, team discussions, and crisis intervention as needed.
- Ensure compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines for student services.
- Advocate for students' needs within the school and community resources.
- Facilitate small group and individual counseling sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
