The Opportunity:
The Account Executive will serve as a partner to Market Presidents, Managing Partners, Client Executives, and service teammembersactingasastrategicadvisorforanexistingbookofbusiness.This positionwillmanageandretainclients, proactively identifying new business opportunities and collaboratively supporting the design, marketing, and implementation of solutions for an assigned client portfolio in the Employee Benefits insurance space.
In This Opportunity You Will Execute On:
- Manageabookofbusinessfocusingonclientstrategy,growthandretention;facilitatethedevelopment, maintenance, and execution of client service delivery strategies.
- Collaboratewithserviceleadershiptoprovideguidanceanddirectiontotheserviceteamensuringstrategies are effectively designed, communicated, and implemented to meet goals and deliverables.
- Strengthenthefirm'srelationshipswithexistingclients anddrivecontinuous improvementswithanultimatefocus on business retention and growth.
- Serveasastrategicconsultanttoclients andinternalstakeholdersdemonstratingadeeptechnicalknowledgeof insurance and risk management.
- Cultivate relationships with clients, prospects, carrier partners and other stakeholders to drive client retention; demonstrateadeepunderstandingofneedstoidentifyandprovideHylantsolutionstomeettheseneeds across business lines.
- ProvidesupporttoManagingPartnersandClientExecutives(CE)inmanagingaccountsandactas,oronbehalf of, the CE when/if needed.
- Managenegotiationsonallcommissionandfeearrangementsinaccordancewithstandardpricingguidelines (exceptions require management pre-approval).
- RepresentHylantattradeandindustryevents.
- Effectivelycollaborateandcommunicatewithleadershipatalllevels(i.e.,office,region,businessunit)providing updates on client and market intelligence needed to align strategies with business goals.
- Performotherdutiesandspecialprojectsasassigned.
In This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree business, insurance, risk management, or similar field of study. Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Seven (7) or more years of sales and/or service experience in the insurance industry.
- Active Property & Casualty or Life & Health License
- Advanced knowledge of insurance lines of coverage in Employee Benefits
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Working knowledge of Hylant’s Agency Management System(s) (AMS).
- CIC, CPCU, ARM or CRM designation required
- Valid Resident State Driver’s License required
- Excellent attention to detail, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel by car or airplane for meetings, conferences, or other business-related functions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
