We are seeking a 5 Axis Machining Technician/Operator experienced with CNC machining to operate and evaluate results. Investigate mechanical and electrical operational difficulties on products and/or components and recommend corrective action. As a 3, 4 and 5 Axis CNC Machining Technician / Operator you will be responsible for producing and quality inspection of finished parts. Your experience level will provide you with access to work independently in several areas and demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and learning abilities with a nominal amount of cross training.

Responsibilities:

• 3, 4 and 5 Axis machine operation, fixture swaps and finishing to completion to inspected parts

• Maintain part specifications by adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes

• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements specified by the manufacturer’s instructions

• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add value to the team

Required Skills/Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years machining

• Minimum of 3 years of 5 Axis machining

• 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC operation

• Utilization of GD&T standards

• Emerging partnership and teamwork skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills to communicate technical data to colleagues and leadership

• Must be willing and able to work on day and afternoon shifts as required to meet demands

• Strong level of analytical thinking

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• 2-year college degree in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field

• Experience with GROB CNC machines and related software

• Horizontal and vertical CNC machine experience

• Familiar with UG and Team Center

• CNC operation experience

• Fanuc, Haas, Hurco, Fadal, and Siemens controller experience

• Understanding of the constantly evolving racing and performance parts environment
