Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure favorable agreements and mitigate risks.
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO items essential for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with production and inventory teams to ensure timely material availability and minimize stockouts.
• Implement cost-reduction initiatives and conduct regular market analysis to identify savings opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards for all purchased goods.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a track record of cost savings.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and proficiency with ERP systems.
• Proven ability to lead a purchasing team and develop strategic procurement initiatives.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards relevant to the industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency with advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for spend analysis and forecasting.
• Experience with international logistics and import/export compliance.
• Familiarity with contract law and intellectual property rights in procurement.
