Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure production machinery and equipment for manufacturing runs.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and materials according to specifications.
• Perform test runs and first-piece inspections to ensure product quality and machine readiness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues, minor machine malfunctions, and process deviations.
• Optimize machine settings and parameters to achieve efficient production and quality standards.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment during changeovers.
• Document setup procedures, machine parameters, and changeover logs accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in machine setup and operation within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting, adjusting, and performing minor repairs on production machinery.
• Skilled in the use of precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and various gauges.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve setup-related issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• PLC programming or advanced troubleshooting experience.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
