FPGA Design Engineer

Responsibilities: * Design and develop FPGA architectures for video processing, control systems, and hardware interfaces. * Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware teams to translate requirements into implementable FPGA designs. * Develop, decompose, and manage design requirements into structured work packages. * Implement designs using Xilinx IP cores and third-party IP, and develop custom IP using VHDL/Verilog. * Perform timing analysis and closure, including constraint development. * Debug and validate designs through simulation and lab-based hardware testing. * Support and maintain legacy FPGA and CPLD designs. * Utilize revision control (Git) and issue tracking tools (Jira) for design collaboration and lifecycle management. Qualifications: * Must be a US Citizen * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. * 5-10 years of FPGA design experience. * Experience with Xilinx FPGA platforms and toolchains (Vivado, ISE, SDK, Vitis). * Experience developing with VHDL and/or Verilog. * Experience with SoC FPGA architectures (e.g., Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, ARM processors, PS-PL interfacing). * Experience with high-speed and embedded communication protocols: PCIe, USB, Ethernet, DDR, I2C, SPI, CAN. * Experience with video interfaces such as LVDS and HDMI. * Experience supporting Xilinx CPLDs (legacy systems). * Familiarity with Git (or equivalent) and Jira (or similar tools). * Basic understanding of electrical circuits and hardware integration.
