Product Validation Technician - Test Lab
Join us to prove what products can do
We’re looking for a hands-on validation professional who thrives in a lab setting and enjoys turning questions into evidence. You’ll collaborate closely with new product project engineers, application engineers, and at times the Quality team—reporting to the Engineering Services Manager or their designee.
Impact you’ll make
- Execute a full spectrum of caster and wheel tests: industry-standard evaluations, customer-directed trials, and continuous/quality investigations.
- Keep the test lab running at its best—sustain calibration schedules and implement preventative maintenance.
- Design or improve fixtures and specialized test equipment.
- Translate customer testing procedures into equivalent internal methods that approximate field performance on our equipment.
- Stay current with applicable industry standards and reflect updates in lab practice.
- Capture comprehensive test parameters and performance data; produce concise summary reports that meet lab reporting standards.
- Build and maintain the lab’s test schedule; communicate status and progress to stakeholders.
- Spot opportunities to automate data collection and basic analysis; propose and help implement improvements.
What you bring
- Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in General Technology preferred. Familiarity with CM II or a CM II certification is advantageous.
- Experience: 2 years in a testing environment; 1 year using precision measurement tools (such as calipers); 1 year leveraging Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Capabilities: Confident running experiments end to end; adept with measurement tools; able to document, summarize, and present findings using standard office applications.
Work environment and physical requirements
- Lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Regular bending and stooping.
- Frequent walking across the facility.
- Long periods of standing.
Growth and flexibility
