• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Float to all adult acute care units, including stepdown)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30), 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1840–$1890
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks (September 2, 2025 – January 6, 2026)
• Patient Ratios: 1:4–6
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Scrub Color: Hunter Green
• Parking: Free, badge access to parking garage

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (required by start date; compact licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
• Experience with Epic EMR charting system
• Proficiency in telemetry, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Ability to float to all adult acute care units and stepdown
• Availability to work 2 of 3 major holidays (including the day before and after)
• Proof of high school education required
• Completion of pre-start modules (self-reported, non-billable)

Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response situations
• Float to various adult acute care units and stepdown to support patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)
• Administer medications, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform wound care
• Care for patients with cardiac, orthopedic, trauma, stroke, and post-surgical diagnoses
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in orientation and complete all required modules prior to start
