Position Overview
The Tax Director will oversee the organization's tax strategy, ensuring compliance with federal and state tax regulations while optimizing the overall tax position. This role involves leading a team of tax professionals and collaborating with various departments to manage tax implications on business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with all federal and state tax regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance on complex tax issues and professional development.
• Review and approve federal and state income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
• Advise on tax implications of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), partnerships, and flow-through entities.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the organizations tax position.
• Assist high net worth individuals (HNWIs) with their tax planning and compliance needs.
• Prepare and present tax-related reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 3 years in a senior tax management role.
• Experience with tax planning for high net worth individuals (HNWIs), mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
• Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state income tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
