An immediate opening for a reliable and detail-oriented Crate Builder/Shipping Associate to join our client’s manufacturing team. This position is responsible for custom-building wooden crates, securely packaging heat treat equipment, and preparing shipments for domestic and international delivery. The ideal candidate has woodworking experience, shipping knowledge, and a commitment to safety and quality.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a pay rate ranging between $20.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience. With room for growth.

The hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm with possible overtime.

• Construct custom wooden crates and pallets using power tools, saws, and hand tools
• Read blueprints or packing specifications to build crates to size
• Safely and securely package industrial heat treat equipment for transport
• Select appropriate materials (foam, straps, blocking) to prevent damage in transit
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move large or heavy equipment
• Prepare and label shipments accurately for domestic and international delivery
• Coordinate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely outbound shipping
• Load and unload freight safely and efficiently

Crate Builder/ Shipping Associate Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-3 years of experience in crate building, carpentry, or industrial shipping
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, tape measures, and shipping paperwork
• Familiar with forklift, pallet jack, and overhead crane operation
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs and work in warehouse/shop conditions
• Knowledge of export crate standards is a plus
